5 minute Block Quilt #69

               

                    A few months ago we 

ran a class using the 

5 minute Block 

this pattern is the 

"Basket of Love" 

Today we are looking at Wendy's 

take on the pattern 
I think that this has turned
just Terrific as Wendy is 
very much new to the 
world of patch working :) 

she used a Moda Layer cake 

called " Spring House"

for her fabric and plain white 

Emma Louise quilters Muslin 

   for the background

Now as this is a wall hanging 

Wendy wanted it to be 

firm...So heavy quilting 

it was so it has some body to it 

and hangs nicely 

so we used white cotton and used 

several quilting designs 

first we used a pebble type 

quilting for the border and 

then we used a micro stipple for around the 

basket and flowers 

I then used stitch in the ditch to 

go around the inner border 

and stippled the outer border 

and for the basket I stitched in 

the ditch for finish it off 

as you can see from the picture 

below it has turned out 

fabulous and Wendy Just loved it 

well i better get a shuffle on 

and get onto the next quilt
